Filip Springer at PEN World Voices' Literary Quest: Westbeth Edition

On Thursday May 4, Filip Springer, author of History of a Disappearance, will appear at PEN World Voices' Literary Quest: Westbeth Edition. Residents will open their homes for readings by authors and a party in their legendary gallery. With Moustafa Bayoumi, Giannina Braschi, Rita Mae Brown, Farah Jasmine Griffin, Abeer Hoque, Thomas Meinecke, Haroon Moghul, Tanwi Nandini Islam, Idra Novey, Mayra Santos-Febres, Igor Stiks, Han Yujoo, Filip Springer, Gabby Rivera, and Emanuel Xavier.

The PEN World Voices Festival, which for the past two years has highlighted geographic regions like Africa and Mexico, will shift its focus this year to gender and power in the age of President Trump. This year’s festival, which runs from May 1-7 in New York, will feature 150 writers in a series of talks, readings and workshops related to social justice, sexuality and politics.

This event is co-presented by the Polish Cultural Institute New York.
