Please join us for an evening celebrating new books from three of America's most singular and exhilarating writers, who will read their work and sign books afterward. Chris Abani's new book is a memoir entitled The Face: Cartography of the Void (Restless Books), which the San Francisco Chronicle calls "a fascinating meditation on identity that explores the novelist’s own mixed heritage and mixed feelings;" Nayomi Munaweera's new novel is What Lies Between Us (St. Martin's Press), a riveting exploration of the bonds between women, the lifelong impact of trauma, and feminism's last taboo, set in Sri Lanka and Northern California; and Mark de Silva's debut novel is Square Wave (Two Dollar Radio), which tantalizingly promises to reinvent the classic novel of ideas for a new century. Hosted by Lauren Cerand. Complimentary cake and champagne will be served.
